The Canada Pavilion showcased the quality, diversity, and innovation of Canadian food products at World Food Expo (WOFEX) 2026, the Philippines' largest food trade exhibition, held in Manila from July 29 to August 1, 2026.

Marking its fourth consecutive year at the event, the Canada Pavilion featured nine Canadian exporters and showcased a range of products including beef, pork, seafood, maple products, dried fruits, honey, frozen foods, and snacks. The pavilion was supported by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) and industry partners as part of Canada's ongoing efforts to expand trade opportunities across the Indo-Pacific region.

Canadian exhibitors reported strong commercial outcomes during the four-day event, generating $3 million in on-site sales and reporting $33 million in anticipated sales over the next 12 months. Participating companies also identified 101 qualified business leads, highlighting the significant opportunities created through engagement with importers, distributors, retailers, and food service buyers.

Bringing Canadian cuisine to life

A highlight of the Canada Pavilion was its live demonstration kitchen, which featured daily cooking presentations led by the Official Chef of the Embassy of Canada to the Philippines and Toronto-based Canadian-Filipino chef Daniel Cancino. Visitors experienced a variety of dishes showcasing Canadian ingredients, including beef, pork, lobster, cod, maple syrup, and fresh blueberries, which recently gained market access to the Philippines.

The demonstrations served as a major attraction throughout the event, helping draw visitors to the pavilion, showcase the versatility and quality of Canadian products, and create valuable opportunities for attendees to connect with Canadian food and learn more about our world-class agri-food sector.

Building Canada's presence in the Indo-Pacific

WOFEX attracted more than 700 exhibitors from over 50 countries and an estimated 70,000 visitors and trade professionals, making it a key platform for Canadian companies seeking growth in Southeast Asia.

The strong participation of both new and returning Canadian exporters highlights the growing importance of the Philippine market and Canada's commitment to expanding international trade opportunities. WOFEX continues to serve as an important gateway for connecting Canadian businesses with buyers across the region and supporting the diversification of Canada's agri-food exports.

The next edition of WOFEX is scheduled for August 4 to 7, 2027.
