Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, in collaboration with the Mission of Canada to the European Union, organized a three-part workshop series delivered by the Culinary Diplomacy Foundation of Canada, tailored to Official Residence Chefs across Canada's missions in Europe. The sessions provided practical and strategic insights into the concept of culinary diplomacy—highlighting how food, presentation, and event design can be leveraged to reinforce policy messages, strengthen engagement, and advance Canada's objectives abroad. Building on the important role hospitality already plays at missions, the workshops encouraged chefs to think more intentionally about how every element of an event contributes to telling Canada's story.

To complement the training, the Culinary Diplomacy Foundation developed a curated recipe booklet designed specifically for Official Residence use. The recipes celebrate Canadian culture and showcase iconic products, while remaining adaptable to diverse dietary needs and preferences. With a focus on creativity and authenticity, the collection avoids overly familiar or "basic" dishes, instead offering options that convey a distinct and modern Canadian narrative. Recognizing operational realities at missions, the recipes were also designed with cost considerations in mind, ensuring they are both impactful and practical to execute.
