March 4 - May 30, 2025

Deadline to apply: May 30, 2025

Are you an export-ready Canadian company that is considering diversification opportunities in the Indo-Pacific? Are you interested in a cost-effective way to explore business opportunities in both Indonesia and the Philippines in the summer of 2025?

Market potential

The growing food-processing industry in Indonesia, rising per capita income, and growing middle-class presents opportunities for Canadian agriculture and agri-food exporters to increase sales to this market. Indonesia has a large consumer base – it is the 4th most populous market globally (283 million people), with a gross domestic product of US$1.439 trillion (5.03% growth rate in 2024). Indonesia is Canada’s largest agri-food and seafood export market in Southeast Asia, valued at approximately Can$1.1 billion (YTD November 2024).

On December 2, 2024, Canada concluded the negotiations for a Canada-Indonesia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which will help Canadian companies unlock the potential of a fast growing market with significant potential for Canadian agriculture, agri-food, fish and seafood exports.
